Description

SH2-119 is a diffuse nebula in Cygnus constellation, located in 2 degrees to west from North America nebula. There is impression that the SH2-119 is wrapped around the 68 Cyg star, which illuminates the nebula. The image show 2 shells located to the east and west relative to 68 Cyg.

At the image several small "yellowish" galaxies can be observed. It's due to the fact that their light passes through the nebula and the dust in our galaxy.

The distance to SH2-119 is estimated at 2200 light years.
