Description

This photo shows the region located in the "tail" of Scorpius constellation. The two bright stars near the center of the image are Shaula and Lesath. Below them lie two nebulae, the Cat's Paw nebula and the War and Peace nebula. The Butterfly star cluster lies to the right of the two nebulae, and the Ptolomeu star cluster is located above the other cluster, inside the Milky Way. Also, NGC 6441 globular cluster appears as a yellowish spot, very close to a star, not far from Ptolomeu cluster (at 10 o'clock direction from it). The star cluster and the star appear to form a double yellow star in the picture.
