Description

After I finished M45, during packing up I decided to take a last quick look at my next project NGC2403 to open up the galaxy season. I have no Goto so I need to search for my objects manualy (with the help of Stellarium) and I still like it that way 🙂I made a few test shots because I couldn't see it in the eyepiece. After a 2 min exposure without guiding (because the computer was already packed) I was surprised how round the stars were. The polar alignment with SharpCap must have been spot on that night. So I tried it with 4min and the stars were still round, wow 😃

Processing this one frame wasn't easy. I pushed it really hard with, many little steps of denoising. At least I had 20 darks. But it's fascinating how much data you can pull out of just one frame sometimes.

For the real thing next time I will use the 8" Newton.
