Description

A large nebula in Auriga that often gets neglected for it's more popular neighbors IC 405 & IC 410. Visual observers may me more familiar with the faint cluster Stock 8 that lies at the center of IC 417. The intense radiation of it's bright O type stars, some visible some hidden are what light up this nebula.

I captured the RGB data from a dark sky site back in September 2017 and then captured the Ha subs from my light polluted backyard recently. Pre-processing was done with the help of Astro-Pixel Processor. The chanel masters were then loaded and processed in Pixinsight with a few additional tweaks in Photoshop.
