Description

This photo shows several dark nebulae against the backdrop of the Milky Way. The large dark spot to the right of the center is called Pipe Nebula, due to its shape. The planet Saturn, the brightest celestial body in the photo, appears against the dark nebulae. I also call attention to a small and "S" shaped dark nebula to the right of Saturn, the Snake Nebula.
