Description

Ngc 3310 is a starburst galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. Its peculiar shape is the result of several mergers and interactions with other galaxies. These have also spurred a massive star formation. The outer regions of this galaxy still bear the marks of its turbulent history, in the form of tidal streams.

This image is a rework of a previous version. I also collected more luminance and Ha.
