Description

This image has proved to be the most difficult for me to process by far. I found out the hard way that my Astrodon filters were the cause of the bloated stars in my luminance files to the point that they were unusable. The blue showed some bloat but was salvageable. I have since gotten an IR-cut filter that helps with the Lum but by that point, this region was out of good visibility for me. So, to overcome it, I created a pseudo luminance with the RGB files and then enhanced that further by using the Max(x,y) function in PI's Pixel Math and combined it with my H-alpha data. That allowed me to get good luminance data on both M78 and the loop in one luminance file. And for my RGB file, I merged the H-a data with the red channel. The final result could be classed as a HaRGB-PseudoLUM-HaRGB image.
