Description

My first ever guided long exposure deep sky session and first light of recently acquired Celestron C6 SCT, F6.3 reducer, Skywatcher NEQ6 mount and CLS clip-on filter in a heavily light polluted backyard. Despite poor seeing, guiding troubles, collimation challenges and backfocus issues combined with the CLS filter making color balancing in post nearly impossible I'm quite happy that something came out of it after all. Cropped out distorted corners due to incorrect backfocus. Also collimation may still be a little off as the image is a bit soft.

Unmodified Canon 1100d ISO 1600 and Altair GPCAM2 224c guidecamera. 10x300" lights + 40x180" lights. Calibration: 40 flats, 20x300" darks + 20x180" darks, 20 dark flats, 20 bias.
