Description

In Mid February 2019 I decided I would love to learn to do Astrophotography. 18-02-19 was the first ever image I took of the Orion Nebula, using a 6" Dobsonian Telescope (That had just arrived the same day) with a phone adapter. The following images show the development of my photos. Fast forward to the start of March, when my Ioptron SkyguiderPro arrived. With no clue how to use it I tried taking images with a DSLR camera (Canon 650D) whilst tracking. I didnt realize until 23-03-19 that I was polar aligning with the wrong star (Polaris Australis) and had wasted 6-8 hours using it wrong. 23-03-19 is when I found out how and where to align it, producing my first image that I was excited about (At this point not realizing the importance of stacking and processing my images). Moving on to the 28-01-19 is my first ever stacked and processed image. It took 2 months of trial and error but I had finally achieved the image that I wanted (This image can be viewed in full on my profile).
