Here's an image of IC5146, The Cocoon Nebula that I shot last night at the Raleigh Astronomy Club's "Big Woods" observing location at Jordan Lake. This is a reflection/emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus about 4000 light years from earth.

The quarter moon was up for most of the time I was capturing this so I had to work hard to remove the resulting gradients and light-pollution from the final image.
