Description

To quote a well-known song from where I grew up: "Now We're Getting Somewhere!"

(For those of you of an age and geographical origin to know who Crowded House are.)

After being punished for a seemingly interminable length of time by the "new equipment curse" (cloudy night after cloudy night, with the occasional teaser of almost workable levels of high level haze) I dragged myself from bed to find a sky with transparency that could only be described as excellent.

Seeing was fair to good, also!

By far my best data for Jupiter to date, with beautiful complexity evident in the wake of the GRS ... you can even see orange fragments in that wake.

This is actually the last of a dozen captures from that session, testing various capture parameters (total time, frame rate/exposure, gain, use of ROI vs. FireCapture's excellent dynamic "crop video" feature). I will endeavour to compose a comparison, for those may be interested.
