Description

Messier 106 is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici. M106 is at a distance of about 22 to 25 million light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of 135,000 light-years. NGC 4217 is a possible companion galaxy of Messier 106.

Interesting fact: A Type II supernova was observed in M106 in May 2014.

A quasi clear night after a month of rain and clouds, and around the new moon as well. I have taken advantage of that to do some more tests on LRGB and see what works best from my location. I seem to have found my settings for this camera and broadband filters.

Clear Skies!
