Description

Like shiny flakes sparkling in a snow globe, over 100,000 stars whirl within the globular cluster M13, one of the brightest star clusters visible from the Northern Hemisphere. Located 25,000 light-years from Earth with an apparent magnitude of 5.8, this glittering metropolis of stars in the constellation Hercules was imaged from the SDAA Tierra Del Sol observing site under excellent conditions.

To address the brightness of the core produced by taking 600s subs, I also took 60s subs. In PI I created 2 Master lights (60s & 600S) and then I replaced the saturated stars in the 600s master light with one's from the 60s master light. Special thanks to Ron Brecher (AstroDoc) for assistance with PI processing.
