Description

The Takahashi FCT-100 is known for being the best apochromatic refractor ever made in the 100mm-class refractors, even beating the famous Zeiss APQ-100. For visual observation, as a lucky owner of this scope, I can confirm the complete lack of chromatic aberration even on Venus or Vega.
So I wanted to check the wide spectrum apochromatism of this scope. For doing so, I simply took a colour image of the Perseus Clusters, without adding any filter in the imaging train. The result is a slight violet colour around bright stars. Otherwise, the image is quite neat!
