The 29th and 30th of January we finally had 2 clear nights.
The first night I took 50 exposures a 300 seconds of the Jellyfish before the nebula disappeared behind the trees.
The second night I planned to take more subframes of the same object, but due to clouds, I lost almost two hours of framing time. So I opted for the bright Monkey head that could allow me to get some decent result even with few subframes instead of collect some few more of the Jellyfish that would make little difference if added to the 50 from the night before.
Unfortunately I took 300s exposure for The Monkey head too, even if shorter exposure of 180s would have been more than enough. So, the stars were burned out and were quite elongated due to a bit bad guiding to the south.
I hesitated to upload this image 'cause I thought it was not worth it, but then I thought "...well it's not a beauty contest and monkeys are not known for their beauty...." ;-) so here you have my version of this bright nebula ;-)
Clear skies!
