Description

Brocchi's Cluster (Collinder 399) is a grouping of stars located in the constellation Vulpecula. The stars resemlbe a coathanger, hence the name given to the asterism. The 10 stars forming the asterism are between 240 and 2200 light years from Earth.

The data for this two-panel mosaic was collected between 18 and 24 July 2020 from an imaging rig in Spain that is privately owned and remotely operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Filters: Astrodon

Mount: 10 Micron GM1000HPS

Red: 60 x 300s

Green: 60 x 300s

Blue: 60 x 300s

A total of 15 hours exposure.
