Description

Here is a close-up of the iconic Horsehead dark nebula, IC434, in two narrowband palettes.  The first is a classic SHO, Hubble palette, in which the dominant Ha and SII components produce a bold autumnal color scheme of red and yellow.  The second is a lighter and more aethereal palette, that remains wavelength-ordered, but assigns SII to red, a combination of SII and Ha to green, and Ha, in this instance the shortest wavelength, to blue.  This bicolor SII-Ha palette was modeled after that introduced by Daniel Zoliro last January ( https://www.astrobin.com/lkpfce/  ).  Enjoy them both.
