Description

Beehive Cluster (Messier 44), as captured from my backyard in Athens, Greece.
Except the main target (M44), few other Galaxies are visible ;IC 2388, NGC 2637, NGC 2647 and NGC 2643, (although they are not detailed at all).

M44 is one of the nearest open clusters to Earth and it contains a larger population of stars than other nearby bright open clusters. It contains red giants and white dwarfs,  which represent later stages of stellar evolution, along with many main sequence stars.
The cluster has a visual brightness of magnitude 3.7. Its brightest stars are blue-white and of magnitude 6 to 6.5.
