Description

Trifid Nebula The Trifid Nebula, named for three recognizable dividing lobes. In red from H-Alpha, the emission nebula, which is the HII region of gas intensely ionized by the young stars at its center. The dark regions, gas of greater density that will possibly generate a future stellar formation. In OIII blue tones, a reflection nebula, where light from nearby stars is only scattered by dust grains and molecules in the region.
