Description

This object is a pair of emission nebula located 8,000 light years away in the constellation of Cassiopeia at a declination of +59 degrees. Sh2-152 is the small bright nebula on the left, looking somewhat like an angel flying to the left. Its width of 1.5 arc-minutes corresponds to a diameter of 3 light years. I find the structure of Sh2-152 to be very interesting and I wish I understood how it was formed.

On the right is the much larger but fainter Sh2-153. Both of these objects are the same distance away and are believed to be related.

As far as I can determine, this is the first image of these objects on Astrobin.
