Description

The Andromeda Galaxy has fascinated us humans for a long time. Not only is it very similar to our galaxy, you can even observe emission nebulae, globular star clusters and dark nebulae in it.

Another highlight is that we can photograph the Andromeda Galaxy through a few hydrogen clouds belonging to our Milky Way. The emission of these HII areas is so weak that you have to expose for a very long time to make them visible. I have now added 12.5 hours of halpha recordings to my RGB recording, which was only enough for a slight hint of the so-called Andromeda clouds in the surrounding areas of the galaxy. Another 10 to 20 hours would be helpful here, but currently not possible due to weather conditions.
