Description

Long after the Supernova explosion, the show goes on for a long time. About eleven thousand years ago, a star in the constellation Vela could be seen exploding, creating a strange point of light briefly visible to humans living during that time. The image above captures a detailed part of this gigantic filamentary shock in visible light, spanning almost 100 light years and appearing as twenty times the diameter of the full moon. As the gas moves away from the detonated star, it decays and reacts with the interstellar medium, producing light in many different colors and energy bands.

This is a 2 panel Dynamic combination of Narowband (SHO) and RGB filters. Hope you will enjoy the full view as I do!
