Description

This object is a rarely imaged grand spiral galaxy located 75 million light years away in the constellation of Aquila, at a declination of -10 degrees. It is a Seyfert galaxy and consequently has a bright core. Its apparent size to us is small at 3 arc-minutes, which corresponds to a true size of 65,000 light years. The galaxy arms are interesting in that they split into 2 in several places.
