Description

Been a long drought for me. First with my wrist injury last fall, then equipment changes, and finally galaxy season. I recently set up my dual William Optics 132/ASI 183 MM Pro system again, this time with 0.8x reducer/flatteners so the scopes run at f/5.6 instead of their native f/7. With the dual system that's an equivalent of f/2.8 in terms of imaging time, but without any difficulties from fast optics.

Cygnus is now in range for me after midnight sometime. Gathered data May 19th early morning. Quite a bit of high cirrus in place the whole session, but elected to try and shoot through it anyway. Need to redo flats and shoot -15° darks for the warmer weather.

Not the greatest, result, but a decent start, especially with only 4 hours of data.
