This beautiful object is GUM 15 in the constellation of Vega. The striking contrasts of the Ha regions and the dark dust lanes make for a Southern Hemisphere showpiece. Gum 15 is rarely imaged by amateurs, but was the subject of an important study by ESO in 2014. I processed GUM 15 with the Hubble Palette (SHO). The Ha and SII signals were strong, but OIII was virtually absent.
