Description

Happy days are here again! :-)

At long last I think I have a handle on the technical glitches that have been making my imaging sessions miserable and frustrating over the past number of months. It's been quite some time that I've been able to leave the scope unattended with a decent expectation that it will run through without a disconnection issue (and it wasn't anything to do with QHY drivers!).

I was a bit surprised that I haven't done M81/M82 since I got the CCD, but seeing as as they are overhead at the moment it seemed as good a time as any. Broadband flats aren't the best as the flat-field generator isn't very uniform at its lowest brightness but the mechanical shutter on the QHY9 needs longer exposures - not an ideal combination.
