At the Belt of Orion
Just for fun I cropped my 32 panel Orion mosaic and redid this portion of the image. I used a slightly different color scheme, the original was too red for my liking. I added some star spikes with StarTools.
The original mosaic is seen here with exposure details, etc,etc.

The 3 stars of Orion's belt (from left to right) are Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka. From what I have found, Alnitak and Mintaka are blue supergiants roughly 1200 light-years away and Alnilam(slightly less blue) is 2000 ly away.
