Description

Astrophotography? Digital Art? Landscape Photography? Or mere Astro-landscape-collage? Is everything permissible?

I have assembled this photograph (a collage joining the southern Carina constellation with the Giza Pyramids) to expose the mystification around a lot of dubious taste images that are assaulting the social media, including astrobin. In fact, they are VERY EASY to make. You just need a photo of some monument, observatory, or landscape, a SO-SO Milky-Way image (it doesn't need to be good, just very COLORFUL) and a bit of tinkering with image processing software. And voilà, you are just one step from stardom!
