Description

Two early morning open clusters in Vulpecula: NGC 6882 and NGC 6885. This was taken after the bright moon came up Tuesday morning. In the upper right there is a purple star in this field: which is actually a giant red star but my camera is sensitive to infrared wavelengths without any filters shows up as purple. It seems that this is an indication it is a pulsating variable star and has an accretion disk around the star emitting a heafty dose of infrared.
