Description

This is one of two "test-shots" I did after the attempt to fix reflection problems in my light path and coma-corrector. I extended the corrector with dark cardboard into the tube (which you can see in the diffraction pattern of the brighter stars) to avoid stray light hitting the bottom lens of the corrector and also used a dew shield for SCTs on the newtonain to reduce stray light in general.

To have a "good" test scenario, I decided to test at (almost) full moon nights – which are the only clear nights here btw – and have choosen DSOs close to the moon, which is a strong source of stray light ;).

The other test-shot is the Leo Triplet.
