Description

The Sunflower Galaxy (M63) - This beautiful spiral galaxy resembling a summer flower with the appearance of an unusually high number of spiral arms surrounding a rich core, is located 29M LY away in the constellation of Canes Venatici. This is my most involved image to date, with a total of more than 10 hours of image data integrated across 1 narrowband and 4 broadband filters, taken over 3 nights in April 2019.
