I recently acquired an AR152 scope to use with my quark chromosphere. After testing, I realized that this scope is great for this job (I dont even use ERF and just use Baader UV/IR filter and it has been fine even after 5 hours). However, the contrast could be improved. In addition, getting perfect focus is almost impossible fiddling outside with bad seeing conditions and the focus drifts quite a bit).

I 3d printed and aperture mask to have a 130mm opening . I also printed a focus motor adapter and attached an old robofocus motor to it. It was a bit of a trial an derror but I finaly got it all attached. This is my test shot and I didnt realize there is an active region !

The seeing was bad today (lots of clouds moving in and out as well) but I did test the focus and was able to shoot 10k frames and processed it.

Based on this result, I am calling it a success. I am happy with the contrast imrpovement (quite dramatic infact) and focus!
