Description

I'm trying to collect as many Messier targets as possible from my location, so I had a go at this globular after a session on M99. M80 transits at a mere 14 deg altitude from my location giving +/- 2 hours imaging time when it's above my observatory wall.

Being low down in the horizon murk makes for challenging guiding and imaging, nevertheless I intended to collect 10x2mins each RGB, but lost the target after getting only R+B data.

I've not had any clear skies since 1 May and with astronomical twilight approaching fast, together with a growing Moon phase I decided to process the RG with synthetic G.

Only 9 of each RB were included after grading, for a total of just 36 mins final integration, so a very noisy background and hardly a prizewinner, but it's one more target towards my personal Messier collection.
