Description

I imaged this object on 5-14-19. However I was not that pleased with the image. Since I had nothing else in mind to target I decided to try and image this object again using a different scope

and this time I would not use the light pollution filter. The Moon was even brighter than it was the night before when I first imaged this object. I tried several different iso and exposure settings

and finally settled on a combination that I felt would work. At 60 seconds the image looked overexposed because of the bright Moon light. I really would like to use an exposure of 600 seconds but that won't happen with a Moon up. I did get an image and I like it better than my previous image. It's close to how I want my image to look but I think I will need a Moonless night

to produce an image that I'm completely pleased with. With all of that said please enjoy my most recent image of NGC 6281.
