Description

Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC), La Palma

It is the biggest telescop in the world.

The diameter of the primary mirror is 10.4m.

La Palma is one of two places on the north hemisphere where is the darkest sky. The second one is on Hawaii.

The sky was so good that I didn't have to do any corrections with the background of the picture.

It is absolutely impossible in the central Europe.

The equipment:

Sigma 18mm f/1.8, Canon D70, stativ

50x9sec ISO1600
