Description

Carolines Rose Cluster imaged in LRGB with Altair's Hypercam 183m PROTEC. Short nights and plenty of clouds meant this took a couple of weeks to assemble a decent set of data.

This was discovered way back in 1783 by Caroline Herschel, sister and chief cataloguing wizard of William Herschel, and of course great astronomer in her own right. It must have been spotted on the 20ft reflector at the Herschell observatory right here in Slough

Description: I wanted to reprocess this early one as I was pretty sure I could improve this now. We had a clouple hours of clear yesterday so I did a speed run, grabbing 15s subs at high gain and stacking 100 frames for each filter. Combining that with earlier unity gain data, I came to this result.
