Description

Still exploring the skies above my new backyard. I was again surprised with the results as I'm able to see some of the faint halo around the galaxy. H-alpha data also enhances the star-forming regions in this galaxy very well.

I wanted to highlight a couple other galaxies with my framing. Most notably, PGC46386 (left), PGC45992 (right) and the galaxy cluster near the top left.

This target choice was partly inspired by the April 2019 Imaging Challenge on the CloudyNights.com imaging forum. It's a challenging target for my small scope and also my longest integration so far, almost 11h. Finally, check out the PGC annotations in the full field of view, there are so many galaxies in this region of the sky!
