Description

A few days ago a very good Astrophotographer, Damien Cannane, reprocessed old data to see how much his technique has improved; in my opinion both images are outstanding. So I thought I would try the same thing since all I have are cloudy nights here. Here I have reprocessed images taken September 7, 2017 using my old D350 Canon XT (unmodified) stacking 21 images of the Milky Way from my neighborhood (houses and trees take up the first 20° of sky here).

Compared to my first process of this data:

I think my technique has improved. I think my newest Milky Way data are better than this data due to my newest camera the modified Canon T7i and the Rokinon 16 mm lens.

Now if I could only get some clear skies on the days I am off work and I could further test this theory. Clear Skies to All.
