Description

This is my second attempt at planetary imaging using the wee little 6" Dob. My first attempt being the image of Jupiter that I uploaded last week.

I think this image was much more successful in comparison to the first image as this one is closely zoomed in (And I managed to capture the red spot!). This time I used the 10mm lens with the 2x Barlow and recorded multiple clips to then stitch together.

Hoping to push this little scope to the limits and capture even more detail in the future. Keeping in mind that I haven't even attempted to collimate the telescope since I bought it, so that will probably be a good starting point!

[EDIT 12/7/19] Its been nearly a month since I uploaded this. I have a bunch of new gear including a laser collimator. I used the collimator to see how out of align this scope was and I was amazed at how bad it was . Time to get this scope fine tuned!
