Description

Observed and imaged Jupiter on the night of June 22/23, 2019. Finally, a night with decent conditions! Seeing was average and transparency was average or better. Having low expectations for seeing, I started out imaging without the Barlow at ~F/10 and captured this image of Jupiter, Ganymede, Io, and Europa (the latter two on the same side as the GRS). The bonus was I caught the GRS just before it rotated fully out of view.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, ZWO ADC, Baader UV-IR filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. This imaging train gave me ~F/10. Image capture using Sharpcap (which for some reason gives me better frame rates than Firecapture when for large ROI). Stacking in AutoStakkert3. Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. This images is a stack of the best 25% of ~10,000 frames captured over 180 seconds at a gain of 240 and a 5 ms exposure.
