Description

I used the time before guiding the scope to the Veil Nebula to take some images of M57, knowing that the RASA is not necessarily the best scope for this smaller object. I mainly used the captures to see if I can get a decent star field together, and see how the collimation worked out. I still see distortions at each corner, this should be caused by an incorrect focal distance of the camera. I will need to experiment a bit more, it seems that the RASA is hyper sensitive to fractions of millimeters. If it needs to be shorter I am in trouble, since I am already at the shortest setup that I have. Maybe some other RASA user can help? What is your setup with a RASA 8?

Note: I added the obtained M57 with the Explore Scientific from last year to make it look better, a pure HSO image of M57 shows some weird colors ;-).
