Description

Milky Way over the Shenandoah Valley – Group 2- A Time Lapse Project

This I the second of three Time Lapse images of the Milky Way. You can’t see it but the Shenandoah Valley is behind and below the Milky Way. Within the Shenandoah Valley is the town of Waynesboro; my hometown. So my wife and I drove the 150 miles, (241 km) to this site: 38° 4’ 39.72’ North by 78° 48’ 9.36” West, Calf Mountain Overlook on the Skyline Drive. On this time lapse I started shooting at 12:50 am, July 1, 2019 and finished 1:35 am. I used the Canon T71 and the Rokinon 16 mm lens, f/2.4, ISO 3200, and 25 second shutter speed shooting ever 60 seconds.
