Description

On Sunday night I managed a nice view of Bailly crater, one of the largest craters on the near-side of the moon (at 303 km wide) along it's southwest edge visible at the current favourable libration, fronted by Kircher, Bettinus, Zucchius and Segner.

Quite significant relief also, the crater rims are 3.2 to 4.3 km high, i.e. close to twice the height of Australia's highest mountain Mt Kosciuszko which stands just 2.228 km ASL.
