This is Collinder 399, Brocchi's Cluster and also called the Coat Hanger Cluster. This is located within a beautiful star field in Vulpecula.

For many years this was thought to be an actual cluster where the member stars were related and close together. However, information from the Hipparchos satellite, which provided better parallax and proper motion measurements show that the cluster is simply a random grouping of stars that are unrelated.

Nevertheless, still quite beautiful against the backdrop of the Milky Way.
