I recently downloaded a trial version from Astro Pixel Processor, which i heard has a great mosaic tool. To test out this feature i grabbed 3 Ha integrations that where originally not intended to go into a mosaic. So they did not line up very well, but should be good enough for the test.

Each panel consists of at least 3 hours of integration time. One panel (the one with the pelican nebula) was made of 120s subs, the other two panels were created by using 180s subs. The resulting mosaic reveals, that the pelican nebula panel has a lot more noise in it.

I am very pleased how easy it is to create a mosaic with APP. Simply load your stacked images, make a few settings, start the integration and you are done. In case your chosen settings are somewhat wrong, APP warns you and suggests better options. Easy.

Revision B shows the resulting, unprocessed mosaic as produced by APP, with a simple STF applied in PixInsight.
