Description

I wanted to image something different. Sh2-115 is part of the vast Cygnus Hydrogen gas complex. Abell 71 is the object near the bottom right corner. From what I've read, astronomers originally thought is was an old planetary nebula (Hence the Abell catalog designation). Now the belief is that it is a knot of Ha like the rest of the complex.

This is a HOO stack. I also shot another 13.3 hours of SII that I did not use. That extra filter really made the image terrible so I left it out. Hopefully I"ll get it figured out and do a revised image.

167x300 sec Ha

154x300 sec OIII

159x300 sec SII

Now have added an additional 159x300 sec SII to the mix
