Moon 92% - In Celebration of the Apollo 11 Mission

Watch and listen to the landing 50 years ago. If you were seeing it then, relive it; if not, live it now!

Last night the Moon and Jupiter were just beautiful in the night sky. I have learned over the years that I must stick to my plan and not make changes in the field. As much as I wanted to try to capture both, my mission last night was just the Moon in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission that put man on the Moon for the first time. This celebration is for all missions into space, starting with Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961 up to today with the International Space Station. But I find it fitting to celebration the number of men and women who have flown into space and the millions who have made these trips happen. Who among us would have answer ‘Yes’ before the question was finished asking if we wanted to make that trip? I would have in a heartbeat.

I hope you enjoy this 92% Moon shot on July 13th, 2019 at 9:12 pm using the modified Canon T7i with the Sigma 150-600 mm lens, ISO 100, f/6.3, 1/250 second, focal length used 562 mm, 10 RAW images stacked with RegiStax 6 and final process with Canon Digital Photo Professional.
