Description

This image is actually my first ever decent astrophotography image. The dumbbell nebula (posted today) was actually captured an hour later. I like this M101, BUT the background was very bright (blue - sun barely down) and I used binning to get better SNR. After cropping it is quite low resolution.

For me, though, it represents a huge leap forward. With a decent camera I can actually acquire images that are beautiful (if imperfect).

Description: Did I say I was a beginner. Managed to debayer the apparent greyscale into colours and then stack sans the satellite track.

Not sure if this is better otherwise, since many steps desperately conducted for the first time, but the satellite track is gone!
