Description

Hi,

I first discovered the grus quartet during a visual observation with friends of our local astronomy club in New Caledonia.

Back home, I decided to have a quick try on the grus quartet to see what I could get with my 105 refractor.

After 1 hour of integration the quartet was already quite good but looking at the background I was so surprised to discover what looks like galaxies everywhere.

After 8 more hours of integration, 350+ PGC galaxies are there ! Even more are visible and distant galaxies clusters too. Color was quickly added using binning2 (6x300s)

This unexpected personnal discovery was one of my best moment in astrophotography yet hoping you will enjoy it too.
