This dazzling HII area, spanning almost 10 times the size of a full moon, resides in the constellation cygnus. From our perspective, it is blocked off by an immense 'pillar' of molecular cloud, giving the nebula its distinct shape. As my DSLR is unmodified, I cannot wait to see how a cooled mono astrocam will perform with this lens.
